FAQ

1. Will chiropractic care hurt my baby?

Absolutely not. Chiropractic care is safe for children of all ages, even newborns and fetuses. This is a common misconception among parents and other practitioners that believe all adjustments are rough and forceful. Dr. Morgan has attended extra trainings through the International Pediatric Chiropractic Association to know certain techniques to avoid when working with pregnant moms and children. Not only are adjustments modified to fit the size of each person, our goal is to affect the nervous system which requires significantly less force than moving bones which is the older method of “cracking your back”. Sometimes all that’s needed is a light contact in the right place at the right time.

2. I don’t have pain, why would I need chiropractic care?

We understand most people believe chiropractic care is only for pain and relieving headaches. However, when we look at why these symptoms improve after being adjusted, it’s easy to see that there is no limit to what can improve with chiropractic care. At Connected Chiropractic, we hold to five basic truths regarding health: 1. Your body is self-healing and self-regulating 2. The brain controls and communicates with every single cell in your body either directly or indirectly 3. Interference to this brain-body communication is not good 4. Subluxation causes interference 5. Chiropractic adjustments reduce subluxation thereby restoring communication between the brain and the body allowing the inborn healing potential to occur. Knowing this, who should receive chiropractic care? Anyone with a nervous system.

3. Can you be adjusted too much?

No. Our technique allows us to assess whether your nervous system needs to be adjusted and only adjust when needed.

4. I heard once you go to the chiropractor, you always have to go?

There are no contracts with our care. You are free to quit care whenever you wish. However, most people see the benefits of lifetime wellness care and choose to continue to get adjusted in order to express their optimal potential.

5. I crack my own back and neck, is that bad?

Self-manipulation may feel good because as the gases release from your joints (what makes the “crack” sound), endorphins are released to provide the slight euphoria feeling. However, how do you know if that specific area needed to be adjusted or not? If you step on a dog’s tail, where do you hear the bark? Just because you experience discomfort in one area does not mean that’s where you need to be adjusted. We are very thorough at locating and removing the cause of interference which is why we see amazing results.

6. How much does it cost?

Dr. Morgan interprets your results from the initial visit and tailors recommendations based on your individual needs. Every individual is different and has different health needs. Adjustments range from $20-$40 depending on which payment option you choose (these will be discussed and agreed upon before any care is rendered). We offer family discounts and payment plans to make care affordable for the entire family. We understand that families that heal together, thrive!
